Justin is a 3-time Emmy Award winning producer of premium quality television, film, digital and print content. As creator, executive producer and writer, he led the development and production of Avec Eric, currently distributed by Netflix and Amazon in 192 countries and published the companion book with Wiley & Sons. For that series, Justin received two Emmys including Outstanding Culinary Show, and was awarded Best Show (on Location) from the James Beard Foundation. In 2019, Justin received a Sports Emmy for his work with NBC Sports which premiered in Super Bowl LII, and an Emmy nomination for Food interrupted with The Huffington Post and Participant Media's SoulPancake. In 2020, Justin also received an Emmy nomination for the digital series Rewind Nature for National Geographic.
Justin also served as Executive Producer on the documentary feature The Way I See It in partnership with Academy Award-winning ACE Partner and Producer Evan Hayes which was co-produced with Laura Dern's Jaywalker Films and directed by Dawn Porter for Focus Features. Justin and ACE is also in production on Cousteau for National Geographic, with Liz Garbus directing. And an untitled documentary about the legendary surfer Gerry Lopez, with Stacey Peralta directing. Justin is also working on the documentary series The Heritage Project with Leonardo DiCaprio & Anonymous Content, the scripted projects The Helicopter Heist with Jake Gyllenhaal for Netflix, The White Room with Amblin Partners, Maggie for ABC & 20th Century Fox Television, Cancer Vixen with partners Christine Vachon & Laura Dern, as well as an immersive experience based on Yuval Noah Harari’s bestselling book Sapiens, among many others.
Justin is also co-creator of Heart of the Race, a motor sports episodic doc series featuring actor William Fichtner, with ACE Partner Scott Gelade which has been acquired by Bobcat Studios in a co-production and development deal. In addition to starting ACE, Justin is a Founding Partner of Anomaly, the global award-winning marketing and communications company with seven offices around the world.
He currently serves as a judge for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and Justin’s work has also been honored by Design & Art Directors Club (D&AD), the EFFIES, and the Cannes Festival.
Justin was born and bred in New York City, studied philosophy at University of California Santa Barbara, and started his career at J.Walter Thompson. He spent 10 years at Wieden+Kennedy in Portland and New York, and sits on the advisory board of The Player’s Tribune, Roula Cycling and the Apollo Program Data & Analytics technology company.
