This film takes a deep dive into the life of iconic big wave surfer and innovator, Gerry Lopez (aka Mr. Pipeline), by showcasing never-before-seen archival material alongside present day footage to tell the story of one of the most influential surfing icons of all time. Gerry’s imprint on the world of surfing is hard to quantify given the breadth and scope of his contributions; from pioneering big wave surfing during the short board revolution, to building an iconic shaping business and the influential brand Lightening Bolt, to taming the power of Pipeline with beauty & grace, all the way through to his quest for spiritual balance. Gerry is a man like no other, and the film will track Gerry’s life & accomplishments through his eyes, as he looks back on his journey and his legacy.
